It is gives me great pleasure to let you that we have appointed a part-time operations manager. Sanjit Sil will start work in the parish office on Monday 12 June.&nbsp; 
Sanjit says "My experience in the capacity of an Operations Manager began when running Empty Pockets Theatre Company in 1993. This led to me gaining further experience in this area as Manager of Redlees Studios in Isleworth. I have significant experience in the field of managing community arts projects as a result of working at Watermans, CIP and the Arts Council England. Presently, I am a Tutor with Learn Ealing where I deliver ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes to a diverse range of students that includes Refugees and Asylum Seekers. I very much look forward to working at St Barnabus Church. See you all soon!"

The appointment panel was particularly impressed with Sanjit's proven track record of running community organisations in West London together with many years' experience in arts management and teaching. I look forward to welcoming him onto the team. As Sanjit transitions into the role parish office hours will be:
Monday: 10–2 pm
Wednesday: 10–2 pm
Friday: 2:30–4:30 pm
We have been without a parish administrator for nearly three years. This is remarkable given the demand and complexity of a church like St Barnabas.&nbsp;Thanks must go to Peter Haisman, Nick Barnes, Helen Charlemagne, Sue Hudson, Mtrs. Fiona Jack and Valerie Aitken, Robin Griffiths and many others who have ensured that bookings, event coordination and other key aspects of parish administration kept functioning as we recovered financially from the pandemic.&nbsp;
Please pray for Sanjit as he prepares to start at St Barnabas and join me in supporting him as he finds his feet in this role.&nbsp;

Welcome Sanjit Sil as the St Barnabas Operations Manager

Dear Friends,&nbsp;
It is with genuine sadness that I announce my departure from St. Barnabas in the forthcoming weeks. Your warm and welcoming nature has profoundly shaped my experience here, enriching my future ministry in immeasurable ways. The valuable insights and lessons I have gathered from each of you have made my placement here so worthwhile. Although I say goodbye, I will be be back soon to say hello.
Where am I going I hear you ask?! I'll be ordained Deacon into the Parish of Bulkington in the Diocese of Coventry, at Coventry Cathedral on Sunday 2nd July at 4pm. The dean of the cathedral assures us there's lots of space for non ticket holders, so if any of you are in the area, feel free to come along. Your prayers though, would be warmly welcomed as I move and prepare for the day.

Curacy in Coventry for Robin

St Barnabas is&nbsp;delighted to announce that the PCC has approved the appointment of Harry Guthrie&nbsp;as our next Director of Music. He will take up his role on Sunday, 21 May.
The Vicar of St Barnabas, Fr Justin Dodd says: "Harry is a passionate young leader who believes in the power of music to inspire and change lives.&nbsp;He has extensive experience in both leading and teaching music, working with a variety of ages and levels of experience. I am excited to partner with Harry to expand the fine choral&nbsp;tradition at St Barnabas and continue the&nbsp;work of stirring up faith through sacred music for all ages."&nbsp;&nbsp;
Harry has trained under&nbsp;renowned choral conductor Stephen Layton,&nbsp;conducted the Continuum Chamber Choir, been a guest conductor for the Cambridge University Chamber Choir and a rehearsal conductor for&nbsp;the Rodolfus Choir. He graduated from Trinity College in Cambridge with a BA in Music with Double-First Honours.
As a singer, Harry has performed with the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge, Wells Cathedral Choir, Rodolfus Choir, the National Youth Choir and Chamber Choir of Great Britain, and others, including performances at The King's Chapel of the Savoy, Holy Redeemer Exmouth Market, St Columba's Church Knightsbridge, St Gabriel's Church, and more.
His teaching and management skills have been put to use at St Catharine's College as the Girls' Choir Manager and Chapel Administrator, as well as Visiting Music Theory Teacher at Stringmoves, Resident Music Assistant at St John's College School, and the list goes on.
Upon his appointment, Harry says: "I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed Director of Music at St Barnabas Church, Ealing. I greatly look forward to working with Father Justin Dodd and the entire team in the church and wider community.&nbsp;I am excited to be combining this role with the post of Head of Choral Music at Notting Hill & Ealing High School from September 2023.&nbsp;Everyone I met during the interview process was incredibly welcoming and I look forward to building upon the excellent music making happening at St Barnabas."
We are very grateful for the tremendous efforts of Paul Ayres (Acting Director of Music) and Hugh Mather (Volunteer Organist) as well as our very talented and dedicated choirs during the interregnum.&nbsp;We have a wonderful music programme that brings glory to God in this place. Thank you for all of&nbsp;your hard work! 

On a final note, we also wish to thank&nbsp;the appointment committee (Paul Ayres,&nbsp;Ellen Coleman, Sunita Dugal,&nbsp;Mtr. Fiona Jack and Hugh Mather)&nbsp;for their hard work and wisdom throughout this process.&nbsp;

Catherine’s most recent book, ‘Defenders of the Faith’ explores the powerful connection between religion and the British monarchy from its earliest times through to the Reformation, the Civil War, Queen Victoria to her late majesty Queen Elizabeth II&hellip; and into the future when a new Defender of the Faith, Charles III is crowned on 6th May.
